Yoga
- Also known as the union with the self, yoga enhances flexibility
and strength. Besides neutralizing stress, with regular practice,
mental clarity and memory are sharpened and concentration can be
improved. This meditation in motion may be practiced effectively by
anyone, of any age, and at any fitness level.
Chair Yoga - A
gentle practice for desk workers, and travelers, wheelchair users
and seniors. Particular stretches are adapted to the seated
position and exercise the upper and lower body. Incorporating
breathing techniques amplify the benefits of yoga.
Breath-work - How
often do we take a moment to take a full deep breath? For something
as important as the breath, we rarely seem to pay it any attention.
Learning some breathing techniques can increase your creative energy
and expression, physical endurance and performance, promote
calmness, mental clarity, enhance health and centeredness, boost the
immune system, and bring you into the moment. Take a deep breath,
matter of fact, take several. Inhale deeply, hold, and sloooooowly exhale. How do you feel? The breath is one of the most powerful
stress-busters around, and is available to us 24/7.
Most breathing exercises remain the same, and as your lung capacity
increases, the experience deepens. Breath-work gains extraordinary
power through repetition. No breath, no life. Know breath, know
life.
